Product Responsibility

Materials

The main material used in Jouten terry products are upcycled 100% cotton hotel towels circulated by our material partner Comforta. Hotel towels that no longer qualify for the hotel standards due to wear and tear are circulated from Comforta to Jouten for creative upcycling initiating a second life to these otherwise high-quality textiles.

Production

The entire production of Jouten terry items from acquiring the repurposed hotel textiles to dyeing and sewing the products and preparing the orders for shipping takes place within the Helsinki region in Finland.

Colors

All Jouten clothing, accessory and home textile products are carefully piece dyed with OEKO-TEX certified fabric dyes, softened with sensitive softener and gently tumbled for ultimate comfort. Please note that our handmade production may result in unique variations in colors and the outward appearance of items may vary slightly from one another.

Orders

All Jouten products available for online purchase can be viewed and ordered here on the Jouten online store. We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Paypal, and Apple Pay as secure payment methods. Visa and Mastercard payments will be confirmed with Verified by Visa or Mastercard SecureCode.

Delivery

The approximate delivery time of your order depends on our current workload (working days Monday–Friday). Finland: preparation 2–5 days from date of order + shipping by Posti 1–2 days. EU: preparation 2–5 days from date of order + international shipping 7–10 days. Other countries: preparation 2–5 days from date of order + international shipping 7–14 days.

Returns

All unused Joutens in their original condition can be returned for a full refund of the original purchase price according to the instructions provided in the packaging slip included in your order. Please note that the cost of return shipping or additional fees such as duties and taxes are not included in the refund. Quality check is performed on all returned items before refund.
